Technology in Learning
After using the past four years to bring Fairfield Schools technology up to what is required for today's teaching and learning, the district is poised for laptops to be provided to students 1:1 at Fairfield Jr-Sr High School for the 2017-2018 school year.  A committee from the school is looking at the best phase-in of the plan.  An outline and vision of the plan endorsed by the school board can be found here.
New Paris Elementary Recognized as Four Star School
New Paris Elementary School was named as one of the top 25% of schools in the May 24 announcement by the Indiana Department of Education of the Four Star Schools.  For the press release and the link to the IDOE''s Four Star website, click here.
Fairfield Jr-Sr High School Makes Top 20 in State
Fairfield Jr-Sr High School was ranked the 12th highest high school in the most recent US News and World Report ranking of Indiana High Schools based on graduation rates, student-teacher ratios, test results, and college & career readiness.  Click here to see the rankings announced in April 2016.
State Board of Education Honors District for Teacher Evaluation System
Fairfield Schools was recognized for the transparency and equity of its teacher evaluation system by the State Board of Education at its February 3, 2016, meeting.  Read more about it in the Goshen News and Elkhart Truth.
Additionally, on April 1, the district was recognized by the Indiana Department of Education as a school of Promising Practice in this area. Fairfield’s Promising Practice is one of 200 education or wrap-around service programs to be recognized by the Department in honor of Indiana’s bicentennial celebration. Identified programs, like Fairfield's, are student-centered and focus on positively impacting students through innovative programming and activities that provide a high-quality learning environment and experience. This Promising Practice will be shared with educators across the state of Indiana as an example of best practices that are having a positive impact on Hoosier students.

2016 Regional Scholastic Art Awards

From the 18 counties in our region, South Bend Museum of Art received over 3000 artworks to judge. Only 7-10% of entries receive a Gold Key, the top award which then moves on to National Scholastic judging. Fairfield received 26 awards this year, shattering the record last year with 21 total awards. New this year is an impressive 12 Gold Keys! View the artwork here.

Welcome to Fairfield Community Schools

Fairfield Community Schools is comprised of Benton, Clinton and Jackson Townships in the southeast corner of Elkhart County. The school district encompasses approximately 124 square miles. The school corporation is under the direction of a five-member board elected by the people to represent each township and provide two at-large seats.

Fairfield Awarded Grant for Buses
