About Us

Benton Elementary School is located in the southeast corner of Elkhart County and serves students living in Benton, Clinton, and Jackson townships. The school serves over 460 students in kindergarten through 6th grade.

Benton opened in the fall of 1999 as the third elementary in the Fairfield Community Schools, joining New Paris and Millersburg. The school mascot is the Bobcat. The 65,000 square foot facility is completely handicapped accessible and is located on 17 acres of ground one mile south of Fairfield High School on CR 31.

Educational programming for kindergarten through grade six students include high ability instruction for language arts and math, band and choir for grades 5-6, and extra-curricular sports for grades 5-6.

Benton students and staff are privileged to have a large and loyal cadre of parent and community volunteers in addition to an active and support Parent Teacher Organization. The school, created by the community, enjoys an excellent relationship with the parents and parents who opened its doors in 1999 and continue their active support today.

Feel free to contact the school office at 574-831-2192 with questions or comments, or to schedule a visit of the school.
