About Us

Millersburg Elementary-Middle School is located in the southeast corner of Elkhart County in the small rural town of Millersburg. The school serves approximately 445 students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Our school population is unique as around 60% of our students are of the Amish faith.

The building was opened in 1978 with additional classrooms added in 1995, 1998 and 2016. Three highlights of the building include the library/media center which has over 18,000 books, our up-to-date technology equipment, and the MEMS gymnasium, saved from the old Millersburg High School built in 1938, which is a reminder of gyms used in the movie “Hoosiers.’ The 2016 building project added a FACS Room, Tech Ed, Science Lab, Art Room, New Locker Rooms and 5th grade classrooms.

Current educational programs at Millersburg include Title 1 Reading, ESL instruction, Envision Math, SEPUP/Ethos Science Kits for hands on learning and Benchmark Literacy for reading. Extracurriculars include 6th grade Band & Choir, Robotics, Garden Club, Athletics. At the middle school level, there are opportunities for Music Compositon, Guitar Lessons, and Student Council. Inquiry Based Learning is a K-8 initiative as students participate in STEAM activities throughout the day.

Millersburg Elementary-Middle School is fortunate to have several parent volunteer groups helping throughout the school year with many opportunities for parents to become involved in the school.
