Lily Endowment/ Guy David Gundlach Scholarships

Application Due Date: September 10th 
 
Requirements: 
  • Resident of Elkhart County Neither parent with whom the student resides has completed a 4-year baccalaureate degree
  • Accredited high school graduate Course of study requirements: Core 40, Indiana Academic Honors Diploma or equivalent
  • Planning to enroll in an accredited Indiana college in the fall of 2019
  • Must enroll in a four-year college degree program

Inspire Scholarship

Application Due Date: November 30,2018

 Requirements: 

  • Graduating from an Elkhart County High School
  • Resident of Elkhart County minimum of 4 years  
  • Maintaining a GPA between 2.0 and 3.75
  • Planning to enroll full time at an accredited college or university
  • Seeking an Associates (2 year) or Bachelor's (4 year) degree

Hoosier Next Generation Educator Scholarship

Application Due Date: November 30,2018 

Requirements:

  • Must be an Indiana resident
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Must be a current high school senior or college student in Indiana
  • Must have graduated or will graduate from an Indiana accredited high school or non-accredited nonpublic high school
  • Must be able to utilize the scholarship for at least two full academic years (effective for Fall 2017-2018 applicants)
  • Must rank in the top 20% of high school graduating class or have a top 20% ACT or SAT score
  • Must currently attend or plan to attend an eligible Indiana institution as a full-time student.
  • Must pursue or intend to pursue a course of study that would enable the student to teach at eligible Indiana school after college graduation
  • Must obtain a license to teach in Indiana and serve as a teacher in an eligible Indiana school for five consecutive years after college graduation
  • Must maintain a 3.0/4.0 GPA, complete 30 credit hours per year or their equivalent and meet all other requirements established by their program to renew the scholarship
  • Must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year
  • Must not be in overpayment or default on a federal student loan or grant
  • Must complete the service requirement or have all funds provided converted to a loan that must be repaid

South Bend Area Teacher Music Association Stickley Scholarship  

Application Due Date: January 18, 2019

Requirements: 

  • Must be planning to pursue a Major or Minor degree in a music field from an accredited college or university
  • Unlike most scholarships, this scholarship is based on musical ability/dedication instead of financial need

Knights of Pythias Educational Assistance Scholarship  

Application Due Date: January 25, 2019 

Requirements: 

  • Senior in any high school or home school and a resident of Indiana.
  • Cummulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Submit SAT or ACT test results
  • Must be registered in an accredited college or university with proof of registration prior to distribution of funds.
  • Complete application, and essays in full

Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship 

Application Due Date: January 25, 2019

Requirements:

  • Have a parent battling breast cancer or has lost a parent to breast cancer
  • Be a high school Senior, reside in Indiana, and attend high school
  • Plan to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree at an accredited institution
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 of 4.0
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or documented permanent resident
  • Provide proof of acceptance to college before receiving the award

Helena Acre Homegrown Scholarship 

Application Due Date: January 31, 2019

Requirements: 

  • High school senior who will be pursing a  2 or 4 year degree in an Agriculture field of study.

America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship

Application Due Date: February 6, 2019

Endorsement Due Date: February 13, 2019 

Requirements: 

  • Planning to pursue Post-secondary education in an Ag related field
  • Obtain 2 farmer endorsements by February 13, 2019

Indiana Association of Educational Office Professionals Scholarship 

Application Due Date: February 10, 2019

Requirements:

  • Have completed 2 or more business educational courses 4 semesters within 4 years of high school from among the following: Computer Programming, Accounting, Business (management, law, etc), Computer Science, or classes comparable to these courses.
  • Be enrolled/having made application to an institute of higher education (2 or 4 year college, university, business college, or school of vocational or technical education).
  • The applicant must maintain a 2.8 of a possible 4.0 G.P.A

Beta Sigma Psi Christian Leadership Scholarship and Martin Luther Scholarship

Application Due Date: February 16, 2019

Requirements:

  • Plan to attend Indiana University or Purdue University
  • Male students who are of the Lutheran faith

Ceres Solution Agriculture Scholarship

Application Due Date: March 1, 2019

Requirements: 

  • Have a parent or grandparent who is a member of the Ceres Cooperative
  • Have four years of involvement in 4H OR 2 years in FFA

Purdue Club of Elkhart County Foundation Scholarship

Application Due Date: March 1, 2019

Requirements: 

  • Applicants for this scholarship must be accepted for admission and planning to attend Purdue University next semester as full-time (12+ hours/semester), undergraduate students.
  •   Applicants must be residents of Elkhart County or an adjacent county that does not have a Purdue Alumni Club.

WM. Tuff's Chapter DAR Scholarship

Application Due Date: March 15, 2019

Requirements:

  •  Be a citizen of the United States
  •  Plan to attend one of the following in the state of Indiana: College, university, technical school, schools offering certification/license programs

 

JP Morgan Chase N.A. Trustee Scholarship 

Application Due Date: March 15, 2019 

Requirements: 

  • High scholastic attainment
  • General moral character , industry, tenacity of academic purpose
  • Citizen of the USA, natural born or naturalized
  • Financial inability to pursue higher education without assistance

Tri Kappa Georganne Kinnison Scholarship 

Application Due Date: March 31, 2019

 Requirements:

  • Must not be related to any current member of Tri Kappa
  • Must be in the top 50% of their class 
  • Must provide evidence of financial need
  • Be prepared to meet in April for an interview with scholarship personnel

Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship 

Application Due Date: April 1, 2019

Requirements: 

  • Be an Indiana resident
  • Commited to pursuing an education and career in a law enforcement field at an Indiana college or university
  • Must be a current member of the association or the dependent child or grandchild of a current member (If you are not a member but want to apply for the scholarship, you may join the association and be eligible to recieve the scholarship)
  • All applicants must enroll as a full time student ( 12 credit hours)

The Sarah Crane Memorial Scholarship

Application Due Date: April 1, 2019

Requirements:

  • Students who are a member of the school’s track, color guard and/or cross-country team
  • Students who have maintained a 3.0 GPA or higher are eligible to apply for the Sarah Crane Memorial Scholarship. 
  • Sarah’s family will then select the winner based on the scholarship essay.

Phillip S. Preston Memorial Scholarship

Application Due Date: April 1, 2019 

Requirements:

  • Graduating High School student from any of the following schools: Concord, Elkhart Memorial, Elkhart Central, Fairfield, Goshen, Jimtown, Northridge, NorthWood, Penn, Plymouth, Warsaw, Wawasee or Westview.
  • Planning to attend accredited college or university in the US
  • Planning to pursue a 4-year degree program
  • Student achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Student must have been a member of their high school basketball team (including player, student manager, student trainer or statistician) during their senior year.
  • Student must NOT have been selected to receive a full-payment basketball scholarship.
  • Student must be able to demonstrate a record of good citizenship, character and reputation in the community and possess an exceptional work ethic in athletics.

Cpl. Aaron L. Seal Memorial Scholarship

Application Due Date: April 1st (Application says March 15, but for this year it is April 1st)

Requirements:

  • 3.0 of 4.0 cummulative GPA 
  • Scholarship will be awarded based upon an essay of no more than five hundred (500) words on the subject of patriotism entitled, “How I would make America a better place.”  Essays will be evaluated on the following:  Patriotism, Passion, Feasibility, Execution and Articulation

STEM Scholarship 

Application Due Date: April 5, 2019

Requirements: 

  • Current Indiana High School seniors or current Indiana College students are eligible to receive this scholarship.
  • A copy of this completed application, and any additional pages as needed, as an email attachment.
  • Two letters of recommendation from non-family members, and one 500 word personal essay about why you’ve chosen to major in science, technology, engineering or math and your career aspirations as email attachments.
  • Transcripts and/or ACT/SAT scores emailed to [email protected]

Thomas E. Goodwin Memorial Scholarship

Application Due Date: April 5, 2019

Requirements: 

  • Elkhart County Senior going to college
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Factors considered are financial need, leadership, citizenship, work study habits and personal habit

Laura A. Kindig Seminary Trust

Application Due Date: April 15, 2019

Requirements:

  • Pursue a degree in any medical or nursing profession  
  • Complete a personal statement
  • Submit a letter of reference with the application

Three C's Memorial Scholarship

Application Due Date: April 15, 2019

Requirements:

  • Be a current high school senior who will graduate during this school year
  • Be active in the school/community
  • 3.0 of 4.0 minimum G.P.A. 
  • Have completed six athletic seasons during high school as an athlete, trainer, manager, etc. 
  • List three references and their contact information
  • Complete a HAND WRITTEN statement on the topic listed on the application

Fairfield High School Alumni Association Scholarship 

Application Due Date: April 19, 2019

Requirements:

  •  Be a Fairfield High School student who is going on to a higher education
  •  Complete application including:
    • Submit a completed application
    • Submit a copy of your transcripts
    • Complete the 300 word essay
    • Submit the Applicant Appraisal forms

Student View Scholarship

Application Due Date: April 22, 2019

Open to all, apply online by clicking here, and then select Indiana 

 

Lakeland Art Association Scholarship  

Application Due Date: Student must deliver application and Art on April 27th or April 28th  

Application Requirements: 

  • Majoring in Art in College or Art School 
  • Must submit 5 original pieces of work that do not exceed 36x36
  • Submissions must include two different paint mediums, drawing, mixed media or 3D. 
  • 2D work must be on a hard surface, matted or mounted 
  • Art work must be delivered by the student on April 27th or 28th (see application for information)

Delta Theta Tau Sorority Inc. Carol Rhinehart Memorial Medical Scholarship 

Application Due Date: April 30, 2019 

Requirements: 

  • Complete high school education
  • Be in the upper half of graduating class
  • Submit transcript of high school grades
  • Show verification of acceptance for admittance to an accredited school in the nursing or medical fields
  • Be of good character, initiative and adaptability
  • Be in need of financial assistance 
  • Attend personal interview by commitee, if requested

Goshen City Bar Association Scholarship

Application Due Date: May 10, 2019

Requirements: 

  •  Graduating senior
  • Academic success, civic activity and responsibility and financial need are all factors considered for the award.

Dee Watson Nursing Scholarship Application

Application Due Date: May 15, 2019

Requirements:

  • Plan to pursue a degree in an accredited nursing program

Tournament of Champions Scholarship

Application Due Date: ASAP! Only first 15 contestants for men and women are accepted

  • If you are under the age of 18, a parent waiver is required
  • Mandatory particiaption in the events attached, if you do not complete the 10 events, you will be disqualified.

     Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship

    Application Due Date: June 15,2019

    Application Requirements: 

    • Have completed high school (or earned a high school equivalency credential)
    • Will be enrolled in eligible program in Fall 2019
    • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program (up to 2 years) at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States
    • Demonstrated critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA)
    • Demonstrated perseverance in overcoming adversity
    • Be under the age of 30
    • Be a United States citizen
