Fairfield Cosmetology students participated in the SkillsUSA State Conference Competition at the beginning of April. We had four students competing from our school, while students in the program from neighboring schools also did well.
Fairfield's Yasmin Yepez-Chavez took Gold in Esthetics. Goshen had two medalists, with Rosa Cuatepotzo getting Gold in Barbering, and
Jasmin Macias earned a Bronze in Job Demonstration. Wawasee's Helen Ihnen also brought home a Silver in Barbering.
Yasmin & Rosa will be advancing to the National level to be the Representatives for Indiana in Esthetics & Barbering! Nationals are in Atlanta, Georgia, the first week of June.
