Important Health Update for Fairfield Families
With measles cases increasing in Indiana and surrounding areas, we want to keep our community informed. There are currently NO confirmed measles cases in any of our school buildings.
We are working closely with the Elkhart County Health Department and following all recommended health and safety guidelines.
A few reminders for families:
Watch for symptoms, including high fever, cough, runny nose, red/watery eyes, and a rash.
Two doses of the MMR vaccine provide the best protection. Please review your child's immunization records and make sure you have turned in all vaccine records to your school nurse.
If your child develops symptoms or has a known exposure, keep them home and contact your healthcare provider and school nurse.
Exposure-related school exclusions depend on vaccination status and guidance from the health department.
