SkillsUSA competition season is here again, and to no one's surprise, Fairfield Cosmetology is sending a boatload of its students to the State Competition after wowing judges at the Indiana Region 2 contest.
Overall, 19 Fairfield cosmetology students claimed state appearances in six categories: Barbering, Cosmetology, Nail Care, Esthetics, Job Demonstration and Job Interview. Two students - Ravyn McGowan and Gwyn Wood - earned honors in two categories.
The SkillsUSA State Competition will be held April 19-20 in Indianapolis. Anyone advancing from the state competition will advance to the SkillsUSA Nationals in Atlanta in June.
